We're proud to announce that Zarai Mandi is now the leading B2C agri-tech platform for price discovery of agricultural commodities, and it has been awarded the prestigious HBL P@SHA ICT Awards 2025 in Lahore. The award recognizes Zarai Mandi’s contribution to industrial agriculture, and its role among agritech startups in Pakistan driving agriculture innovation.
The P@SHA ICT Awards are among Pakistan’s most respected technology honours, run by the Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA) to celebrate Pakistani tech innovation and digital excellence. Each year the awards highlight breakthrough solutions across sectors (from fintech to agritech), and winners represent leading examples of how local startups and companies are solving real-world problems with technology.
Pakistan’s agriculture remains the country’s backbone but faces structural problems that fuel mandi politics and rising food insecurity. Smallholder fragmentation, weak post-harvest storage, and limited market data give middlemen outsized power and distort prices. Seasonal shocks and transport bottlenecks create a lot of structural volatility that hurts both farmers and consumers.
Hence why this recognition emphasizes the importance of our mission at Zarai Mandi’s, to bring price transparency in Pakistan mandi rates, and to improve efficiency by enabling data-driven decision-making in Pakistan’s agriculture sector through the Zarai Mandi app, and active Zarai Mandi WhatsApp communities that deliver daily mandi rates and market alerts to farmers and traders.
“All praise and thanks is to Allah SWT. This award is a testament to our commitment to empowering farmers and agri-businesses with verified, accurate, and timely market information,” said Abdul Raafey Shoukat, COO of Zarai Mandi.
“I dedicate this achievement to my team, my parents, and my elder brother and co-founder, Ghasharib Shoukat. We are proud to be recognized for driving positive impact in Pakistan’s agriculture ecosystem and strengthening the agricultural supply chain with reliable data.”
